Cook County "Juvie"; Sower, Soil, Seed; Larkin

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL
TUESDAY: Jon Romano (TC alum) and Chaplain Arthur were with us. Chaplain Arthur is a part of the Good News Jail & Prison Ministry and serves as chaplain at the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center. Jon volunteers there by leading Bible studies/mentoring youth. Their message was simply to trust in Jesus and pray for how God wants you to serve Jesus in this world.

THURSDAY: Bruce Larkin, TC class of '09, spoke. His message focused on Philippians 3. What does it mean to know Jesus, focus on Jesus, prioritize life with Jesus as first? Bruce gave us time to reflect in prayer in light of the truths of this chapter.

MIDDLE SCHOOL: The student band led the singing. Keyoni did a great job singing a solo, and Mr. Wiener spoke on the parable of the Sower from Matthew 13. It was great fun as Mr. Wiener directed student volunteers in acting out this story with Mr. Ridder as the farmer.

NEXT WEEK
High School: Father John (a Coptic Orthodox priest) and a Black History chapel.
Middle School: Mrs. Schemper

Location:Timothy Christian Schools, Elmhurst, IL
