Small Groups, Mr. Wiener, Sr. and Mr. Peterson's Homeroom

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL
Tuesday: As students met in small groups, the focus was on "Christ is risen". Some of the questions discussed were: How did the Lent/Easter season affect you? Was there a particularly good worship service? What does the resurrected Christ mean to you? How do you live this out? Thinking back to the last chapel: "what area of your life do you need Jesus the most right now?" Based on your answer last time, how are you currently doing?

Thursday: Mr. Wiener's dad spoke–Mr. Wiener, Sr. Through sharing his testimony of coming to faith in Jesus Christ, Mr. Wiener spoke of how God has called him, and each of us, to evangelism. He also helped us think through how excuses to not evangelize are really not good excuses. At the end of the chapel we were led in prayer to ask God to give us a greater "heart for souls". MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL
Wednesday: The theme was contentment. With Scripture passages, a fun game show, Let's Make a Deal with host Joey S., and a talk by Mr. Peterson, we considered the importance of contentment. "Contentment is doing your best for God in all circumstances and leaving the outcome up to him". 1 Timothy 6:6, "But godliness with contentment is great gain."

Chapel Band & Mr. Grit's Homeroom

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL
Thursday: The student-led chapel band led us for the last time this year. With a combination of new and familiar songs, both upbeat and contemplative, with harmonies and creative instrumentation, they led us in a wonderful time of worship. We are thankful for their ministry this year. Watch the chapel here: http://thecube.com/event/chapel-4-16-489234

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL
Wednesday: Mr. Grit's homeroom led us in an interactive chapel. Depending on our response to a question, we moved to the left or right side of the auditorium. The chapel's theme was the importance of our relationship with God and how highly God values his relationship with us.

Hymn Sing, Rink, Bible Trivia

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL

Tuesday: We had a good old-fashioned hymn sing at Faith CRC, right across the street from Timothy. With piano and organ and with hymn books in hand, we sang Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing, Great is Thy Faithfulness, Jesus Paid It All, I Surrender All, and It is Well with My Soul. Each him was introduced by students reading scripture passages that related to the song.

Thursday: Justin Rink, a Timothy Christian High School alum of the class of 2013, spoke. He is currently a pre-sem major at Concordia University in River Forest. By using the story of the father with a demon-possessed son and Thomas questioning the resurrection of Jesus, Justin explained the difference between doubt and disbelief. His talk concluded with God's amazing grace. You can watch the chapel here: http://thecube.com/event/chapel-4-9-486420

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL

After our singing, we had a Bible trivia contest. Two volunteers from each homeroom combined with another homeroom to make four teams of four. The questions were focused on the life of Jesus. If you are interested, here is the website: http://christianity.com/trivia/
