Stan Guthrie, Mr. Mitchell & Small Groups

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPELS
Tuesday: Our first small group chapel of the year! All students were divided according to grade, gender and alphabetical order according to first name. Some of the questions asked were "what do you like to do outside of school?" and "what do you want to accomplish this year?". The Scripture passage was Philippians 3:8-9.

Thursday: We had a guest speaker, Stan Guthrie. He is a speaker, editor, writer and literary agent; his website: http://stanguthrie.com/.  His talk centered on the walk to Emmaus story found in Luke 24. Jesus fills the deepest longings of the human heart. Jesus satisfies our longing for something lasting and hopeful, ultimately our longing for heaven. Click here to watch the chapel: September 24

DK & Burkholder, Homecoming Interviews, MS Students Share

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPELS
Tuesday: We continued chapels in the Homecoming theme of “Around the World”. Former TC Spanish teacher, SeƱora Burkholder, sent a 5 minute about her mission work in Guatemala. For the rest of time, Mr. DeKoekkoek shared about his call to and ministry in Japan. He spent 2 1/2 years there before he came to Timothy.

Thursday: Mr. Snoeyink and Mr. Roelofs interviewed the seniors on homecoming court. Their questions ranged from “if you could make any animal ridable, which one would you choose?” and “what's an ideal date?” to “what do you like best about Timothy?” and “how is God currently working in your life?”.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL
Wednesday: After singing, students were invited to the stage to share about their summer spiritual highlights. It was wonderful to hear the students speak of God's good work in their lives! A slideshow was shown that featured student summer photos.
