Also, we watched a powerful video of persecution that involved a high school student.

Thursday: Our very own Ms. McNeil spoke. She shared a spoken word piece that resonated with all. We were also blessed by the orchestra, performing Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen and Soon I'll be Done. To watch the chapel CLICK HERE

Chapel Band, Pastor Kyle Haack, Mr. Ridder's Homeroom

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL
Tuesday: The chapel band led us in worship. On this Valentine's Day we focused on the source of love: the Lord God Almighty. We sang Beautiful Things, One Thing Remains, How Deep the Father's Love for Us and How He Loves. The photos show our greeting time! To watch the chapel CLICK HERE

Thursday: Kyle Haack, pastor of Wheaton CRC, blessed us. Through a story and great pictures of white water rafting, he spoke of how we often can feel like we are caught in the rapids of life. We need to look to God as our rock. In God we are secure (Psalm 61:2-3 & Hebrews 12:28). With guitar and mandolin, Pastor Kyle, along with a Wheaton College student, Henry, sang about the rock. We concluded by all singing the hymn, The Solid Rock. To watch the chapel CLICK HERE

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL
Wednesday: Mr. Ridder's homeroom led chapel. The chapel used the idea of "Pay it Forward". Through video, Scripture, reflections and prayer, students made the point that God is the one who invented "pay it forward". As faithful disciples of Jesus, we pay it forward when we witness and shine for Jesus in all we do.

Abby Helmus, Distracting Devices/Prayer & Sytsma Homeroom

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL
Tuesday: Abby Helmus, at 2010 TC grad, spoke. Through engaging stories like a telephone interview with the CIA and travels to South Africa, she illustrated her point of how to follow God's call. We need to surround ourselves with supportive Christian friends, feed on God's Word and be committed to the church, the people of God. To watch the chapel CLICK HERE

Thursday: Small groups got creative and created a photo that showed the negative side of our phones. Groups then discussed their prayer lives. How is their prayer life and how could it be better? Be sure to check out the video!

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL
Wednesday: Mrs. Sytsma's homeroom led chapel. They acted out Max Lucado’s book, You are Special. As Mrs. Sytsma read the story, the students played the part of the Wemmicks. They put stars or dots on each other based how well they liked people. One sad Wemmick, Punchinello, learned that what matters in life is not what others think but on what his maker thinks. And his maker said “you are special!”.

Christians & Business, and Rachel R.

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL
Tuesday: The world of business and the Christian. Do Christians have an important place in the business world? Yes! God created the possibility of business. We watched a Biblical, yet quirky & creative, video, entitled For the Life of the World: Creative Service. To watch the chapel CLICK HERE

Thursday: Mr. Jarzombek, COO of LRI (http://www.lrinternational.com), and our own Mrs. Lee spoke. They shared about their personal path into business, what it means to be a Christian involved in business, and specific ways Christians can bless others in business. To watch the chapel CLICK HERE

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL
Wednesday: High School student, Rachel R., spoke about the intersection of her summer travels and her walk with God. She shared about how she met many different people in many different states. Rachel recalled about forming an opinion about a person or people before she talked with them. But after conversation and hearing people's stories, her view of the person usually radically changed. Instead of judging people, God calls us to reach out to others in love.
