Bill Lodewyk and Brother Bob

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL
Wednesday: Bill Lodewyk, executive director of Elim Christian Services, and his friend, "Brother Bob" led chapel. With a skit that involved TCMS students, Kate & Sam, Dr. Lodewyk shared about the different ways we interact with people with disabilities: ignorance, pity, care, friendship and co-laborers. As we become friends and co-laborers with people with disabilities, we allow God's glory to shine through their lives and through our lives as well!

JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE TIMOTHY CHRISTIAN HALLWAY:

Small Group, Prayer, VanDenBerg Homeroom

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL
Tuesday: Small Group Chapel. After a mixer game, we focused on the Passion narrative from Mark 15:21-41. Students were challenged to share their reflections after they heard the story of Jesus' crucifixion.

Thursday: Student Prayer Chapel. All the teachers left and went into the hallway to pray for students. The students stayed in the auditorium to seek God in prayer. Students were invited to move around the auditorium to find a spot to pray and also to gather with others to pray. To watch the opening of the chapel CLICK HERE

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL
Wednesday: Ms. VanDenBerg's homeroom led chapel. How do we see ourselves? Jesus can transform us so that we identify with beautiful messages, instead of negative ones. Through a video, skits and spray paint, they powerfully communicated this message.

TCHS Band, Grace F., Jonathan Barney

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL
Tuesday: The TCHS Band blessed us with beautiful music! To watch the chapel CLICK HERE

Thursday: Today was one of the "heavier" chapels of the year. We thought about the issues of sexual exploitation and assault. This chapel offered information, wisdom and an understanding of the attitudes & beliefs that reinforce deeply hurtful comments, jokes and actions. God calls us to see one another as created in the image of God. Student, Grace F., led our chapel with Mrs. Piersma contributing.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL
Wednesday: Jonathan Barney, youth director at Faith CRC, spoke on our theme verse for the year, Matthew 6:19-20. He gave a relevant message on following Jesus in a world where we are surrounded by "earthly treasures".

NEXT WEEK
High School Tuesday: Small Groups. Thursday: Student Prayer

Middle School Wednesday: VanDenBerg Homeroom
