Homecoming Week

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPELS
TUESDAY: The Homecoming Court was announced and then Mr. Lindloff & Mr. Pelt interviewed the seniors. The girls, Amanda, Daniella, Kaylie and Lexi, were first and then it was the guys turn, Justin, Matt, Philip and Rich. The questions the students answered were a mix of fun and serious ("if you were a musical instrument, what would you be and why?" and "what has God been teaching you in the last year?").

THURSDAY: We began by recognizing the cheerleaders, who went to the state meet this past Friday. The homecoming court (minus the seniors) came to the stage to participate in a Bible Jeopardy contest. Some questions were easy (who built the ark) and some hard (even Mr. Wiener missed one with the correct answer being "Mulberry tree"). The winning team was a combination of juniors & freshmen.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL: Mr. Wiener spoke on Psalm 19:
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands...The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul...They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold...By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward...May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

NEXT WEEK
HIGH SCHOOL: Rick Persenair and a contemporary take on the life of Hosea
MIDDLE SCHOOL: Mrs. Sytsma's homeroom

Location:Timothy Christian Schools, Elmhurst, IL
