Chapel Band, Kyle Bjerga, MS Students Share

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL

Tuesday: CHAPEL BAND. Our first chapel of worship through song led by our all-student chapel band. We sang Lay Me Down, Our God, O Come to the Altar, Lion and the Lamb and Our God is Greater. What a blessed time of worship!

Thursday: KYLE BJERGA, youth pastor at Cityview Church in Elmhurst. Kyle challenged us to discipleship through this definition: when the Word of God and prayer is infused in genuine relationships over an extended period of time. We need to to ourselves “who is my Paul? and who is my TImothy? Who can mentor me and who can I mentor in the faith?

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL

Wednesday: STUDENTS SHARING ABOUT THE SUMMER. We saw a slideshow of summer photos that students had submitted. Next, we all were quiet and reflected on “God moments” from this past summer. Students were invited to the stage to share how they were encouraged in their faith this summer. About 40 students came forward to share! And thanks to Grant for leading our worship through song!

Small Groups & the First Grade Chapel!

Chapel with the 1st Graders

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL

Tuesday: SMALL GROUP CHAPEL. Our first small group chapel of the year. The groups are led by student leaders. Today, students discussed Ephesians 3:20-21 and created an artistic representation of the verses by using their signatures.

Thursday: CHAPEL WITH THE 1st GRADERS. This annual chapel is one of the favorites. With the 1st graders on the stage, we all stand and sing songs together—with motions! I share a story about trusting in God by using the characters on the Octoberfest set. The 1st graders read Joshua 1:6-9, said the Lord’s Prayer, and sang for us High as a Mountain. Words cannot describe the wonderful time of

Summer Missions, International Students, MS Teacher Photos

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL

Tuesday: STUDENT SUMMER SHARING, PART 2. We heard wonderful testimonies of summer ministry from the Lombard CRC, Faith CRC and Elmhurst CRC youth, along with Zara, Scott and Sophie.

Thursday: INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS INTRO. Our four new international students from China introduced themselves with the help of a slideshow and Mr. DeKoekkoek. We are glad that they are at Timothy! We then saw a slideshow of student photos from this summer and thought about “places to pray”.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Wednesday: TEACHERS SHARING ABOUT THE SUMMER, PART 2. Once again we were blessed by teachers sharing rich words of spiritual encouragement through summer photos & stories. I will was filled with thankfulness for the Timothy Christian community.

Mr. Mitchell, Students and Teachers Share about Summer

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL

Tuesday: MR. MITCHELL. Our principal spoke on Ephesians 3:20-21, focusing on these three points: 1. Asking God, 2. Listening to God 3. Acting for God. How were we challenged to take action you may ask? Well, see the photo below.

Thursday: SUMMER MISSION/SERVE TRIPS. Chapel begin with two teachers sharing about their summer (we didn’t get to them last week). Then four students gave wonderful testimonies about their summer service. We heard about work in Kenya, Mexico and HoneyRock in Wisconsin. Students shared about what they did, some interesting stories and how God worked in their lives.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Wednesday: TEACHERS SHARING ABOUT THE SUMMER. Carter & Myah led our singing. Then four teachers showed photos from this summer and shared how God worked in their lives. We will enjoy this type of chapel with 6 more teachers next week.
