Thanksgiving Sharing

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPELS
Tuesday: After a responsive reading of Psalm 118, we had an open mic on the stage and one in the back available for students to share thanks. This chapel is a yearly tradition, and this year was one of the most meaningful. It is encouraging and community building to hear so many students share from their hearts.

Thursday: Happy Thanksgiving!

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL
Tuesday: We had a special singing time. Enjoy the video below. Then we had open microphones on the stage for students and teachers to share what they are thankful for. Many students came forward to share!

Cochran, Timothy W. & Small Groups

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPELS
Tuesday: Small group chapel with the focus on thanksgiving. We started with the opener questions of "what was your favorite childhood toy?" and "what is the one question you wish you knew the answer to?". Our Scripture passage was Psalm 100. We discussed complaining and thankfulness.

Thursday: Devin Cochran spoke. He is the youth pastor of the Chicago Church of Christ (they hold services in the Timothy auditorium!). Devin answered the question: “what is the best way to be prepared for each day? By using the armor of God passage in Ephesians 6, he spoke about the necessity of God’s Word and prayer for our daily lives. He used a student volunteer, specially prepared clothes, and water & ketchup to help make his point.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL
Tuesday: My son, Timothy, spoke! After an engaging introduction, he shared about God's amazing love and work in this world. He drove the point home with Scriptures, comments and captivating missions stories. Timothy also shared about his own call to missions.
