Exam prayer & Mr. Peterson's homeroom

HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL

Tuesday: We began chapel with some fun. How do you deal with stress during exam time? Josh, Eason, Michael & Jack were good sports. They competed for the best scream and dance (good stress relievers!). Teachers voted for their favorite by texting. We could see the results live on the screen (polleverywhere.com). For the bulk of the chapel Mr. Lindloff led us in prayer. He shared from the book of Hebrews how Jesus, in his humanness, can relate to our stress. He encouraged us to keep Jesus at the center of our lives and then invited to students to spread out through out the auditorium to pray. We met with God in the quiet.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL

Mr. Peterson and his homeroom led us in chapel. The theme was "waiting on the Lord in prayer". We learned about this type of praying through Scripture passages and some of Mr. Peterson's experiences & wise words. Then we prayed. Prayer requests were previously written down on paper with the outline of a hand. These papers were placed all over the auditorium. So we all spread out, found a paper, put our hand on it and prayed for the request. Each student was challenged to pray for about 5 requests.
