HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL
Thursday: Oliver Hersey spoke about an Old Teatament story from 2 Kings 4:1-7. The story is about Elisha telling a widow to gather all the empty jars she could find and fill them with her small quantity of oil. Miraculously, all the jars were filled. He challenged students to identify what their "empty jars" are–what are the places of struggle and hurt in their lives. We need to cry out to God and trust (not dictate to) God to provide, to fill the jars.
MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL:
I (Mr. Wiener) asked the question "what do you do before bed? I challenged students to be in prayer before they go to sleep at night. With drawing on an iPad projected on the screen, I encouraged TSP, The Sleeping Prayer, in other words Thanks, Sorry, Please Help.
