HIGH SCHOOL CHAPELS
TUESDAY: The chapel raised awareness of the persecuted church, called for prayer for these Christians and showed how someone can take action. Rubber wristbands were made available to help us remember to pray. Below is a video, 2 websites and a smart phone app that can help you respond.

THURSDAY: Rev. Semeyn, from Elmhurst CRC, spoke. With his engaging style, he challenged students to base their identity in what God has done for them through Jesus and not base it on their own accomplishments.
MIDDLE SCHOOL: Our speaker, Nick Sheetz, is the youth pastor at the new Elmhurst church plant, Journey. He talked about numerous Bible stories and how God's Word gives meaning and direction to each of our individual stories. The worship leader of Journey, Lyle, led our singing.

End of Semester
HIGH SCHOOL TUESDAY ONLY: Before Exams
Chapel began with the Lord's Prayer in Chinese, Korean, Dutch and Romanian. We then all prayed the Lord's Prayer in English. Bible reading goals made at the beginning of the school year were briefly reviewed.
Matt starred in an exam skit. He fell asleep while studying. His dream was weird and stressful. The video shows the dream.
Chapel ended with prayer. Mrs. Lanenga played the piano while we spent time in silent prayer.
MIDDLE SCHOOL: Previous to this chapel, three middle school classes wrote down questions they had about life and faith. In chapel we had a panel answer some of the questions. Dr. Hoeksema, Mrs. Sytsma, and Mrs. Berens shared their wisdom with us. "What was a difficulty you had in middle school?" "How can I have a steady relationship with God?" "Is it normal to get bored at church?"
